Eco Policy
Eco Policy
Our garden pod assembly’s materials have been carefully selected based on their ecological and high-grade qualities.
To guarantee our materials are sustainable, we have strict guidelines to uphold our high eco standards.
Our first consideration is whether the materials can be sourced locally to reduce pollution while supporting local businesses. The second point is assessing whether the materials can be recycled to prevent lasting environmental damage. At the core of Basebox’s ethos is preservation, so we aim to use “second-life” materials where possible and not compromise on quality.

Solar Powered
Our facility in Buckinghamshire is run by solar power. This includes our Showrooms, Offices, and Factories, all of which use energy from one of the UK’s largest solar panel farms.
The power generated contributes to around 45% of the energy we use, significantly covering a large percentage of our energy usage as a business.
Landfill
As a part of our eco policy, we ensure no waste ends in landfills. Our careful and considerate recycling process means we produce zero waste.
Any materials or cut-offs that cannot be recycled at our facility are taken to the local recycling centre for incineration. This process generates power for local communities, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
Timber
To preserve precious natural resources, we source timbre from FSC-certified suppliers and plant five trees for every 1 used for construction.
The superior wooden cladding combined with structural timber used plays a significant role in the design and construction of our garden buildings.
CARBON NEUTRAL
As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce our impact on the planet, our company’s Showrooms, Offices, and Production Facility have achieved complete carbon neutrality! We can operate to the highest standard without any adverse environmental impact.
Our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint is a continuous goal by investing in carbon-positive projects as a business.
