The A2 is our signature apex roof garden room from the A-Range collection specifically designed for homeowners who want something more than space.
Unlike conventional flat roof garden rooms, the A2’s distinctive apex roof design dramatically increases the internal ceiling height, creating a brighter, more spacious interior that feels larger from the moment you step inside.
Available in both Gable End and Eaves Side layouts, the A2 allows you to choose the style that best suits your home without compromising on space or performance. The vaulted ceiling not only creates a striking architectural feature but also delivers practical benefits, providing extra headroom for taller gym equipment, golf simulators, feature lighting and creative workspaces, while giving the interior a more open and luxurious feel.
Every A2 garden room is manufactured in the UK using premium materials and is professionally installed by Green Retreats’ expert in house teams. The building comes fully insulated as standard, allowing it to remain warm throughout winter and cool during summer, making it a genuinely usable extension of your home every day of the year.

Extra Height - Explained
The Apex Roof Garden Room features a striking 30-degree pitched roof, offering impressive internal height and a spacious, airy feel.
At 5 metres wide, the pitched roof garden room reaches a maximum height of 4 metres (3.93m to be exact) at the apex, giving you an impressive sense of space inside. For narrower widths, the height reduces proportionally, maintaining a balanced, visually pleasing design that fits seamlessly into any garden layout.
Thanks to its design, planning permission is not required if the room is at least 2 metres from your property boundary and you have permitted development rights, making it an easy, hassle-free addition to your garden.

Payment Schedule & Finance Options
£300 Holding Deposit
Due: At any early stage of your planning
Your £300 holding deposit secures your installation date and locks in your quoted price for 1 year from the date the order is placed. It’s fully changeable up until 6 weeks before your installation date – giving you complete peace of mind while you finalise your plans.
60% Building Deposit
Due: 6 weeks before installation
We require confirmation of your building 6 weeks prior to installation. At this point, a 60% deposit is due, which secures your order and sends your building into production. This step ensures everything is ready and on track for your scheduled installation date. No further changes can be made after this payment has been taken.
30% of Remaining Balance
Due: On final day of initial construction
It typically takes 5–9 days to install your garden room. On the final day of this initial construction phase, we require 30% of the remaining balance. This payment confirms completion of the main building structure and allows us to proceed with the finishing touches such as electrics.
Final 10% of Remaining Balance
Due: On full building completion
After the main structure is installed, final works such as electrics, plastering, and any optional extras like air conditioning will be completed. Once these finishing touches are done, the remaining 10% balance is due. At this point, your 12-year guarantee is also activated, giving you complete peace of mind.
Finance Option
Green Retreats now offer flexible finance options on all garden room products. Whether you’re looking for a garden gym, office or studio space, our finance options allow you to explore the options of spreading the cost of your garden room over between 3 and 10 years in monthly instalments.

If you know exactly when you’d like your garden building installed, or if you’re in a hurry and want our next available installation slot, then you can reserve your installation date first and sort out the details after!
All we ask for is a deposit to secure your installation date.
Do I need planning permission for the A-Range?
In most cases Garden Rooms do not require planning permission approval as part of your permitted development rights.
However, the A-Range, with its extended height peak roof, may fall outside these rights if you plan to have it installed within 2m of your boundary. If your project does require planning permission, it’s no problem! We have an in-house planning service that can take care of the whole process for you, and we’re proud to have a 92% success rate in securing approvals.
