The Green Retreats Group Sponsor “Team Green”

The Green Retreats Group have organised and funded our very own weekend hosts (aptly named “Team Green”) to take on The Three Peaks challenge on September 25th 2018.

Team Green have self-organised the event and will be raising for The Thomas Ball Children’s Cancer Fund and 10% of the money raised will also be donated to Mountain Rescue. The Green Retreats Group have sponsored the Team Green climbers (Kezia, Joel, Ben, Charlotte, Toni-Ann, Lauren and driver, Lee) and have funded for everything, therefore any money raised will be given straight to charity.

The main objective of The Thomas Ball Children’s Cancer Fund is to relieve sickness and distress among children suffering from cancer and members of their families. They do this in any way that the trustees feel will be beneficial to the sick child, usually in the form of medical equipment, holidays, special gifts and research.

The Three Peaks challenge evolves climbing the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.

The three mountains are:

• Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)
• Scafell Pike, in England (978m)
• Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1345m)
